Grooms Annual Christmas Party

Trips With Mom ( Nola Grooms)

Mom, Jenny and I had a fabulous weekend together.  It has been the first time we have been together to do something like this since we went to Hawaii 8 years ago.  The weather was great & the company was great.  Jenny bought a metal rooster that has a holder for a pot of flowers, or a pumpkin to sit in or a tree or whatever she wants to put in it.  It is so neat looking.  We went to a Christmas store and spent about 2 hours in there.  I got all my Christmas    ornaments bought for our kids and grandkids and my Mommy also.  That was just so much fun, there were millions of Christmas items in there.

We stayed at a place Friday night called Holmes with a view in Berlin, and boy was it nice.  2 bedrooms, kitchen with all the necessities like coffee, juice, 2 containers of cinnamon rolls made by the Amish and a loaf of white bread for toast.  The refrigerator had fresh orange juice, homemade jams, butter and fixings for your toast.  If you wanted more you could buy what you wanted for breakfast and fix it there.  The kitchen was stocked with pots and pans and dinnerware.

We were not at first going to stay at the Holmes with a view because we thought it was too much money.  We thought well we have a nice room for Saturday at the Berlin Inn so for Friday we will find a room when we get there.  Well, the place was packed and we were told no rooms available at places we stopped at.  We finally went into one place who said that someone had just canceled reservations at Holmes with a View that has 2 bedrooms.  We laughed and called the number; she said it was still available.  We went there and got ourselves checked in.  The Holmes with a view was a very, very nice place and if couples went together the price would be OK or even 4 girls it would even be even cheaper.  The view was breathtaking from the balcony its located on top of a hill ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

We borrowed a wheelchair    from Barry (Marlon's best man and nephew) and took Mom around to the stores.  The place has a lot of hills and going downhill was great but going uphill was not so great.  Mom is not going to have her knee replacement surgery.  Her EKG    came back bad and the doctor said her heart could not stand the surgery. Mom was very disappointed and scared all in the same breath.  She was upset    to find out her heart was so bad.  I would be upset also if I were her.  I love my Mommy and I want her here as long as I can have her.  She goes to the doctor today so he can review her EKG    with her.  Please keep my Mommy in your prayers.

Jammie Shafer's 3 Children's Adoption

Jammie went to court today and lost custody of Brianna................   The foster parents have full parental rights.  They are giving Jammie supervised visitation at their house because Brianna wants to see her mommy and baby brother so out of the kindness of their hearts they are letting Jammie see her.  They go to court June 11th for Logan to see if they get custody of him from the way the courts talked with her it is going to be the same for Logan..............  I have prayed  many times for the best thing to happen for the kids so they can live a stable life and be happy.  I am not disappointed with the judge’s decision in this case.....................

Well I am going to go outside and enjoy some of this beautiful day God has given us..........

I guess Jammie got the kids Saturday and Logan was acting strange.  He came in and went and laid on her bed like he was sleepy.  She said he then got up and the next thing she saw him sitting back by the toy box like he was playing being very distant.  She asked him to come her and what was wrong with him, he got up and just started crying so hard that it scared her.  Prior to that I guess Mason had hit him in the head with a toy and he cried like a baby Jammie was scared and ask him what was wrong.  Well after the hiding by the toy box scene  he said that he had peed his pants and started crying again very hard.  Logan never had accidents even when he was potty training.  Jammie said she told him that she would not say N~E thing she would help him get cleaned up.  She then called Mrs. Williams Logan's other Grandma and ask her to go to Charlie's and get her some clothes for him.  Mrs. Williams went and got the clothes and brought them to Jammie. Mrs. Williams had not seen Logan for a while and ask him is she could visit with him and Logan hugged her and told her YES.  Logan sat with a towel around him till she came with his clean clothes and underpants.  Logan has not been acting like this so I don't know what happened before his foster parents dropped him off.  It sorta freaks me out that the foster parents of Logan and Brianna have been constantly asking to keep Mason for a couple of hours to "give Jammie a break"?  Jammie just this past week told them OK.  I don't know if this is a good thing to do it all seems sketchy to me don't U think?  I don't know if she can be trusted.

Subject: So Much to Do

I called Jammie yesterday and Mason is sicker    and his cough is worse.  She knows she needs to take him to the doctor again because the medicine they gave her for Mason is not working.  She said she was sorry that she sent Mason to my house she did not know he was that sick, he was on antibiotics and children's Tylenol for colds.  I don't feel bad but I sound awful, it seems like every 2 months I am sick to the point that I have to go to Urgency Care, I don't like this my immune system must be very low on what ever it needs to fight off sickness.

Jammie told me that Melissa (foster Mom) called her and wanted to take Mason Sunday to go to the store with her.  She says its to give Jammie a break but I don't believe her at all.  Jammie told her Mason was sick and she didn't think it was a wise idea for her to take the virus back and have all 6 of her kids sick.  She said she understood.

Well guess I'll go for now, Susi
